I went through the same thing. My only suggestion is don't buy a LoveFab. Absolute worst customer service and craftsmanship on a high dollar manifold ever. The boost6 looks real good, but it's made by a guy in Australia so if you get it and there's a problem, good luck getting a refund.

I found a mild steel manifold on ebay. 1 from new zealand I believe but I found another I think that shipped from CA so I'll probably go that route.

I just wasnt too trusting of the cxracing manifolds or a godspeed, if they suck and I replace it I'll need a new elbow made.

6Boost for sure, great reputation. They just had a big sale... I think the sale might be going on but they're closed till 1st week of January. They'll take orders, but nothing will ship until then.

Mild steel (steampipe), beautiful collector, they'll make the manifold to your specs (engine/chassis/top/bottom/forward mount/etc).

I would suggest an ebay only if you have the means to modify it ; they seldom work out of the box. The one I picked up for the RB25 build I'm currently working on, I had to cut the collector and reweld it to modify the angle the turbo flange sits at - as it was, you couldn't bolt the turbo down because the turbine housing was hitting the valve cover. I also had to open up all of the mounting holes, as they were slightly off. The only other thing I had to do was relocate the wastegate, but I knew I was going to have to modify that anyway due to the WG being used.

All that being said, it seem to be an ok manifold for the price if you have a TIG handy lol

Bottom line is anything you buy for under $500 is gonna be a Chinese made part no matter if it comes from CX racing, or Ebay, or wherever. The 6Boost (like I said) looks great, but I just wouldn't trust someone overseas to make a custom car part because if there is a problem, you will never get your money back. Plus the 6Boost is NOT made of stainless. It is a mild steel manifold, unless they have changed. So you'll need to get it coated or it will look like dog turds in no time. They do, however, look awesome. The collector is very impressive, but fitment is the most important part. The Full Race is probably the best manifold money can buy for an RB, but the problem with them is they do not and will not build it with a T3 flange, which is stupid IMO. There are many T3's out there capable of making over 800whp. I see no reason to ever run a T4 flanged turbo on a small displacement engine like an RB unless you're going for 1000+ like Jimefam.

I agree with chad b. however I don't think 6boost nor full race are manifolds for someone on a budget, I assume his on a budget cause he wouldnt be asking for help to find one.. if money was no problem I personally go with the fullrace cause I like the placement of the turbo, the 6boost places the turbo same spot as the eBay ones(that's what I have) except they are very well made..I wish some one would make one like the fullrace design with out the price tag. Raw brokerage makes one, but that's still 1500 bucks also...

Agreed. I wanted the FullRace and begged them to make me one with a T3 flange, but they wouldn't do it. Yea, I forgot about Raw Brokerage selling one too. Not sure who makes it for Ricky. As far as a 6 runner manifold on a budget, good luck with that. They're a b*tch to make having a 6 into1 collector.

making a 6-1 merge on a T3 collector is a challenge and there really is no reason to use a T3 flange with a 6-1.. Granted yes there are lots of turbos out there that make plenty of power.. but i'm betting fullrace uses a T4 flange for fitment requirements.. that's the primary reason to use a T4.. its better suited for a 6-1 merge..

you can get smaller housings on T4's i'm using a 1.00 (divided) on a 67mm turbo and it spools awesome IMO..

6boost manifolds are great pieces of kit, their customer service is quite high and even being overseas is not an issue...
the lhd manifold development was done by members here on nico and they have several jigs for the rb series into s chassis cars.
no real issues with them being mild steel...stainless is nice but mainly bling.

Maybe, but my 66/67 was a T3 with a .86 hot side and the lag was horrible.

im getting 16-17 psi by 4500 RPM from a 4th gear roll reving to 8500 makes a nice powerband.. my 3076R on 18-19 psi was at around 3900.. not a huge difference considering the difference in potential

We make our turbo manifolds in house. We're beginning production again on these starting in January. (we've made some improvements too)

^^^^ My pricerange

RBBA's get outta here with your crazy never ending build budgets!

I found this manifold (for less on ebay) http://www.hybridperformance.co.nz/hp/p ... product=12

I work 40+hrs at a Round Table Pizza as a supervisor I get like $14-1500 a month and have other debt not realistic for me to save half a year for a 6boost or Fullrace manifold. I just need a topmount manifold that wont crack so I can drive my car

I have ppl that can redirect the WG tubing or fix it if it does break. cxracing just didnt seem like a smart choice rather would find a known good used mani.

As strange as it sounds, CX racing has a new one, and it is a nice piece, I just saw it the other day and I was like damn, this is nice for a cheap manifold. All it needs is to be coated, my buddy got one for his RB25 R32 and I hate cheap parts but it was damn nice.

I hate cheap parts and I was surprised by the quality, wasn't the thin walled stainless either, not as thick as mine but I use schedule 40

the thick wall manifold is 3lbs heavier even though the specs are listed the same as the normal 25 manifold. It's $100 more so $600 it looks nice here I thought $400 was gonna be spent lol this car will one day be worth the heartache

Ummmmmm, a LoveFab maybe? The first manifold I got, after waiting 6 months for it, didn't fit. I called Cody Loveland (owner) and he gave me every excuse in the world as to why he sold me a $1,600 manifold that wouldn't work. I told him I wanted my money back. He begged me to give him a second chance as he was in a tight spot with money, had employees stealing from him, his best friend died at College, and some other crap. He promised I'd have a new manifold in hand in 2 weeks and he would build it himself. He sent me a shipping label to return the first manifold. A month later, I called and he gave me more excuses. Another 4 weeks I got the manifold. It fits, but where he put the w/g throat places the gate right in front of the turbine outlet of the turbo, so the downpipe has to go up and over the gate. This makes it all a real p.i.t.a. trying to install the gate and dump tube. LoveFab suxdix

Put my turbo ontop of my fireplace for an hour and hit it with a rubber mallet, got it to turn so just running the OEM manifold and welding a tube for the WG for now until later in the year. I'll get the CX manifold more than likely tho.
