Top mount manifold, RB20DET-S14 Silvia

Hi guys

I have an S14 Silvia with an RB20DET. I am in the process of upgrading to a top mounted T3/T4 turbo. I just recieved my top mount manifold today and took it to the garage and had a fiddle around under the bonnet to see if there will be space to fit the manifold, as the S14 engine bay is very cramped with the RB in there. It seems like the Manifold might not fit, as it hits the strut tower when i just tried to place it there (standard turbo is still hooked up, I just placed it over it to see if it would fit). I then brought out the measuring tape and again, very marginal .

It is an XSPWOWER type manifold (yes, ive heard of the bad rep, but i have a friend that used it for ages with no problems, and my one seems to be of good quality).

Has anyone fitted or seen an S14 w/ RB20det and top mount manifold? Particularly the xspower manifold? Any help would be very appreciated.

hey i have a 95 240sx s14 as well. I am looking into ordering the rb20det because i need to get a new engine. When doing the engine swap did the engine fit right up or did you have to make motor mounts or anything?Sorry i can't be of help to your question

check the rb section of this forum...several people have fitted the xs power in to the usdm s14 chassis with little problems.your strut tower bar may not clear...
