but what is the quality of the manifold is what i want to know is it good or is it not worth it ?ks13 wrote:the 100 dollar ebay manifold is obviously what you are looking for then....
Well if i have no other option then to pay 400 dollars for a good one then I would do it but if i can buy one for like 2 bills and it works then why pay the extra that's why i wanted to know the quality and see what everybody else is runningks13 wrote:well if you dont want to spend 400, which is dirt cheap for a custom stainless manifold, then you have no other option really do you?
if the manifold is braced, and you dont have junk motor mounts, and your exhaust system isnt hanging off the turbo, then the ebay manifold will be fine.
Like a flex pipe rightks13 wrote:a flex joint in your downpipe is also a good idea if you want the ebay manifold to last.
The reason for the top mount is larger turbo options and to make more power. and I've seen the top mount on a couple of setups on here and it is pretty close to the bmc but the s13 bay is pretty much the same size as the s12 bay so it should fit there's really not much difference between the 2 baysRS12Turbo wrote:Don't know how true it is...but I remember someone on cs12 saying that a s13 ebay top mount won't fit in a s12 engine bay....it'll hit the master cyl resivor. Why a top mount...why not just go with a bottom mount?
I'm gonna be going with a big t3/t4 and I'm not posting on cs12 because i'm having issues with some of the stuff going on over there between me and the modsRS12Turbo wrote:I'm only posting what I remember reading on cs12....just giving you a heads up. If nothing else post up a cs12 and ask about s13 top mount clearance issues (if any) in a s12....for a piece of mind before ordering. For kicks....what turbo are you going with?
