my top suddenly stopped working a few days ago. the fuses r fine, i dont see any leaks anywhere, the sensors on the trans r all fine, and for reason the auto trans only have 2nd gear in drive now, it wont start off in first and wont shift into 3rd. i dropped my car on coils pretty low and it was fine for a few days till i drove over a speed bump, it kinda got stuck and it was fine till like 10mins later, the trans started have that problem and the top wont work anymore. is there something i m forgetting to check?

So you hit a big bump with new coils on the car and now your trans only has one gear and your top won't work??

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you damaged a sensor on the bottom side of the transmission.. Maybe the neutral position sensor is shot and the car thinks it's in neutral all the time now. That might be causing your transmission issue because it's crossing signals and won't shift now. Also, your top needs to think the car is in park in order to operate, so a neutral signal might be preventing that from working???

It's just a stab in the dark for now... Can you jack the car up and inspect?

Sounds like it or wire is unplugged or cut somehow.

well iono if the neutral position switch is damaged cuz the car still only starts in park, i tried to start it in other gears and it wont start. i checked under the car and i dont see any damaged wires or unplugged wires at all. i was thinking it has to do with the transmission being damaged internally. i will b swapping it out for a sr soon so if it still doesnt work with the sr, it could b a big problem
