Top hat mounts?

I was wondering if Tophatperformance makes a reputable motor mount kit for the RB25det into an S14. I know Mckinney makes a kit also but they are expensive as hell. Thanks for any feedback.

Sorry I just read the previous thread. I have seen the replys. So what I have gotten is that mckinney and tophat both make good mounts as long as you get the originals

I just used the tophat mounts. They work but weren't great on alignment. They took a bit of coersing and stretching and tweaking but they fit.

then you didnt put them in right. i've got a set of top hat mounts and after taking the time to adjust everything the motor sits in there just fine. you need to consider getting an o2 housing done, mine rubs but the steering doesnt bind. i've also got a fluidyne rad and there was still plenty of room for that. all in all im happy with the fit and finish and i came out about $700 cheaper than using mckinney mounts, this includes having a driveshaft made.

They are in there the right way, I've got the motor all the way back and centered. I didn't modify the mounts, they just took some elbow grease to get the bolt holes all lined up.

Does thier RB25 kit also include the transmission mount?

To the best of my knowledge, they work on all the Rb20, or RB25, either or...

yes it comes with a trans mount. the kit works on all the rb motors in both the s13 and s14.
