What might be the disadvantage of using a 50lb (550cc) Top feed in a Mustang GT fuel rail and paying around $300 over using side feed 550cc injectors and paying $500.

Also when using the e-manage and making the injector correction and you are using 50lb injectors do you go from 270cc to 550cc?

As far as the emanage is concerned, you just punch in your original injector size and the new injector size and it'll auto-rescale for you. 50lbs/hr is 525cc/min, fyi.

I'm paying close to $500 for a set of tomei 555cc injectors that'll directly drop right into the stock fuel rail.

here is a link that I started a couple of months ago here

sidefeed like others have said is pretty much plug and play. But it really depends on which ones you get. The power interprise 550cc injectors that I got required splicing the cables and using there hardware to make everything work out because they use a different injector harness. So if you are going side feed make sure you know which ones you are getting.

The man reason I went with side feed is because I was lazy and didn't want to source out the fuel lines and other small stuff that were needed to make the top feed work.

I got my 565cc scooby injectors the last week in the mail, havent had a chance to put them in yet to see if they fit, they look like they will. anyways if they work its a great thing, I paid $200 for them, off of a 2004 car so they're good as new in my book and cost less than half of what nismos/tomei costs. hope they fit :pface

the scooby dealership wants $40 for injector clips, and it will take a week to get them in. If i just crimp on some connectors and use it will it work, or should i get the factory ones.

Yes you can crimp the connectors on, but you have to take in consideration dust going into the small openings.
