okay i've been looking around and i dont know exactly why most of the fast ka-t's are running top feed. will most of the guys on ka-t.org forum. Is there any advantage for top feed?

i was thinking about going Nismo 740cc injectors or 72lb MSD injectors. If i was to do a top feed conversion then it would cost me a slight cheaper compared to side feed Nismo injectors.

also which would be the best for top feed set-up, i was looking at either jgy or ams fuel rail and msd injectors.

also my goal is 350+whp on my fully built motor.......

i just need some good info then i start ordering my injectors. Thanks in Advance!

The limitation of flow with the stock fuel rail is the reason that most people switch. I think(dont quote me on this) that anything much more than 850cc and you start to have fueling issues.

With a top feed you dont have to worry about it, its got much more internal volume for the fuel to fill and flow through.

Sidefeeds are also more prone to leaks and are a PITA to change and deal with.

IDK if anyones got something to add or counter something i said please do. I think thats the main reasoning behind the choice but im not 100 percent.

I can only tell you that the top mount look a lot nicer and are way easier to install.

Scott from enthalpy said that he preferre the nismo/tomei side feed over the top feed 72lb msd set-up.....

Called up JWT and they said it doesnt really matter if i'm only going maximum injector size is 740cc or 72 lb. That they both would do the job and its more personal preference.

Sidefeed's suck...period.

Topfeed's don't leak, they are easy to change, the fuel rail is only 30 bucks at project silvia...no reason not to convert. Find a buddy that wants a set of injectors, then order 8 from Summit...done and done.

DO IT OR BAN

WD, i know that you know your **** but DAMNNN. i'm getting a headache now.....

this what scott said "I highly recommend the Tomei / Nismo 740cc injectors. They are thebest in that range. Cost is a bit more but they will drop into yourstock rail with no problem and they run so much better than the topfeeds."

thats the guy who's tuning my ecu.

Plus the silviaproject fuel rail have to be custom to fit MSD injectors. such as machined to fit the hole to fit the MSD injectors...

Wash the sand out of your vajayjay and go get the tomei injectors then

If Scott recommends his tune for those injectors then you'll get a "known good" rom tune with a set of great injectors. I personally prefer topfeeds...thats my .02. One of the first things I did was convert over to topfeed and lose those leaking pieces of crap...lol.

Tomei/Nismo's are on par with Sard/Denso.

My used Sards were flow tested and after they were cleaned all flowed within 1 percent of each other. Cant ask for much better than that.

i'll get the nismo/tomei 740cc then. so that scott cant say anything if the car acts up. i mean it wont but just to back up myself. if i am only leaning towards 400whp MAx then i think this size would be great. thanks a lot guys!

IF you go topfeed, make sure they're HIGH IMP, I tried some low imp and well, the tuner couldn't control them at all. (maybe your tuner can control them just make 1000% sure)

I just went back with sidefeed, tried and true from Deatschwerks
