My friend is having his GTO built by a friend of his at a shop. I told him that I wanted bigger injectors and he said he can probably get four for me, but he asked me if the ones I needed were "shorty" or "long" injectors. Does anybody know what this means?

get the long version; the shorty version overall length is only 48mm.

quick question, the part of the injector that plugs into the runners, are all of them standard size? because they will probably be from a mustang or something, so I don't know if they have a different diameter.

not all of them are the same, so you need to look at the their technical specs to determine if it will fit your requirement/needs.

My buddy got the long ones and the foward most part of the Jim wolf fuel rail would hit the hood. He ended up putting in the short ones. That was on a twin cam, I don't remember what brand of injectors they were.

Your gonna need denso style injectors.

The kind of injectors that GM's have may be different.

Thanks man. Though my friend had good intentions on hooking me up with some free injectors, I don't think we'll find any that fit the KA on that shop, which works mostly with mustangs and V8's.

I use Ford Racing 42lbers and a custom fuel rail. But you can use the project silvia top feed rail and it should work fine.
