I recently purchased a non turbo 90 300zx. The original motor blew up according to the previous owner. He had a newer motor with 30 thousand on it sent to him from California. He put the motor in but never hooked anything up due to the lack of interest he obtained for it. So I hooked everything back up and gave it a fresh tune up. I went to start it up for the first time and it idled great. I started it again and within a couple seconds of run time it made a noise similar to a pulley going out. Upon further research I found the noise was coming from the top half, passenger side. Indigenous with the camshaft location. I have no throttle response. It falls on it's face and when I put it in gear it dies. I'm going to change my oil again since the royal purple is black. Only 3 days later and three test fires. So I'm hopeful it's piss pore lubrication due to freed up sludge and what not. Not to confident on this though. Any ideas guys?.
