my CA runs fine and pulls hard up until about 5k, then it jerks back and forth all the way to 7k, and it is running pretty rich, and I leaned out the maps but it still does it, I am thinking maybe boost leak? what do you think? thanks for your help

boost leak or something causing the actuator to open and close? vacuum leak somewhere maybe? does it do it whenever its revved that high or does it only do it under full or heavy throttle?

you might have a faulty coil, under load it acts up, I had a similar incident this past summer, when ever I get about 5K rpm, one coil start acting up.The other thing, check your intercooler piping, you might have a leak some where. Do a diagnostics on your ecu that is if you are running nissan ecu. and see what kind of faults it spits out.

Good luck,

no fault codes, however sometimes when I am letting it warm up I think it fouls a plug cause it starts to misfire pretty bad and takes a couple revs to get it to stop, I will try cleaning my coils tho

ok I pulled the coils, and I checked the number one plug because when I changed them last week that was the worst looking one, there is carbon chunks around the crush washer already and a little bit of oil on the rubber boot as well, your thoughts?

the little contact pellet things look pretty blackened up in some spots, on the sides too so Iguess that means it has been jumping off the sides of the pellet(bad I imagine), will some WD40 clean this up?

Get a new or good used coil. Once they start doing that, they are done.

I think I need new coils too. Mine started to buck really bad at high rpms under heavy/full throttle. And all of a sudden a few days ago, it started to idle like a freakin muscle car. Shakin and shimmying all over. So yeah.... coils just took a crap on me.

I know we discussed this a while back, but are there any upgraded coil packs for the CA? I thought we decided the RB ones are the same, so what about the Splitfire setup for the RB's? I know they are pricy, but if we get 3 people in on it and split the cost of 2 sets, it might be worth it.

now that I have pulled the engine apart, I doubt that was the problem, there were vaccuum leaks everywhere, craked hoses and whatnot, guy that owned it before me was a real genious, just cleaning up his mess

yeah that is the issue, he was running dexcool(deathcool) so all the coolant hoses have this muck in them where they connect to metal, and the injector connectors were SOOO corroded but should run fine when I am done
