Almost All the Cars on the list are Spot on. i mean you could make a case for the Neon and Cavalier but Until recently there were not Performance oriented versions of these cars to mimic. Plus i still see more stock versions than Modded.

I mean the Civic is the Original Ricer car. Time was all you had to do was look out your window and see a riced out civc LX or DX with Si Type R stickers/Badging The same can be said for the Integra. The Eclipse is number 2 on most riced out cars per Stock version of said car that i see.

The Lancer....while i see alot of riced out ones, i think another car could occupy this slot Perhaps the Accord, i see alot of these Riced the **** out.

My brother has a non-vtec integra 5spd, and with fairly minimal mods he runs mid to low 15s in the 1/4. Thats really not that bad, and would probably beat a lot of 240s on here.

Not that bad? Thats horrble.

Funny, but your list sucks, you just didnt give it much thought!I've seen way more Riced Caviqueers than everything on that list except civics. Way more wack *** Neons than Talons and Eclipse's, which neons can almost be classified as rice off the lot! I definatly agree that civic should be #1 on the list, and that pains me b/e I love EK Hatch backs. And as a Former Integra Type R owner it saddens me to see the integra treated like it usually is. Especially when they do it to a Type R, I saw a yellow one that the kid put a turbo kit on it, which wasnt terrible, but a cheap pieced together kit, but a CL "front end conversion" and a wack *** rear bumper and huge sideskirts. Ricers FTMFL!!!!

Says the guy who drives a highly modified C5. Designed from day 1 for performance, and then you threw a s/c at it. I'm not knocking you (I'd love that car) but its apples to oranges. My brothers time isn't bad for a 95% stock car which was originally designed primarily for economy with a little fun.

BINGO!

I think I'd like a car where I dump all tons of money into it so I can hit the low limits. For the money these idiots spend to make their cars slower, they could get a real car.

Also, shame the list doesn't include the domestic rice like the cavalier/sunfire/cobalt, and the neon.

I'd like to disagree. Some purely cosmetic mods on a nicely built car pass the no-rice test fine, but when you're adding underhood mirrors, 18+ wheels (for cars like the 240SX), unnecessary coilovers, big sound systems you're fast approaching rice.

Also, pretty much any "extreme" performance mod (coilovers, rollcage, etc) on a car that doesn't see tests of it's power (be it drag racing, autocross, hell, even street racing), is rice. If you cruise around in a Viper Competition Coupe, I'm going to call you a ricer.

Rice makes a nice backronym: Rice Inspired Cosmetic Equipment.

you spelled RIPE, but i see RICE as meaning Race Inspired Cosmetic Extensions lol. I see tons of Fukus' around here, RX7-s with baby blue body kits >< and civics galoreeee, including integras, crx, del sols, etc. I have also seen.... MERCURY COUGARS! ill take a picture next time i see them, but there are two at my local mall almost everyday. I do see BMW 325's with spoilers and M3 badging and cleared out tail lights around my area, too. have a pic on my cell phone. its sadddd. thats all for now.

I would have to somewhat disagree with this thread. YES I do agree that Hondas are a big target of rice. But you have to look at it from this point...anyone is going to mod/molest a cheap car. Econo boxes tend to be the targets. Hondas, Mitsubishis, Saturns, and the Dodge Neon are very cheap even in brand new form. This is why it is so, yes there are monsterous things done to cars

Nissan followers aren't the only people that think JDM or stockish > rice. Honda and a majority of the Japanese makers have followers that think the JDM look is the only one. Look at the passwordjdm inventory.

I am not saying anyone is wrong. I agree that Hondas are at the top of the list. But I blame this to availability and the misdirection given by Hollywood or past crazes, who here hasn't started out rice then found out what they liked or went on the "straight and narrow".

I'm just saying that all Hondas aren't rice...there are some that follow strictly to the sleeper or jdm look. Just it's unfortunate that few are seen.

Anyone who runs a "wakaba" sticker is RICE:

Sorry to all you Nissan drivers that run one. This is your calling to remove them. Wakaba = Beginner Driver. Why the **** would you wanna say that about yourself?

The ONLY thing worse than that is running a "Powered by (insert car brand)" sticker. What the **** else would a Honda or Acura be powered by? A Nissan or Toyota motor?

I don't run one and never have (and never will), but I always thought it was supposed to be a joke. Sort of like putting a big "STUDENT DRIVER" sticker on the back of a Ferrari, lol.

EDIT: Additionally, I will argue that the "powered by..." stickers are ONLY okay if you have a cross-OEM swap. If you have an SR20DET in a Miata, then a "powered by Nissan" sticker on the back of your NA6 is sorta cool.
