Well, after a long time struggle trying to get my car running right from mckinney to another couple shops where it was finally fixed (http://www.g-dimension.com) i think i may finally have a decent running rb25 240sx. Took it down to the dyno after installing a straight pipe and manual boost controller for ****s n giggles. We were all surprised to see the thing run 275 hp! needless to say i was pretty pleased. onto the good stuff . ..dyno graphs are taken with a digital camera so i apologize if its not the best of quality. and the video was taken in widescreen so please set your player accordinely.

Thats on the stock turbo!?? That's really good if so. What kinda 1/4 times could you run with that WHP?

accel junky: I may be wrong with this but i'm pretty sure the only way to change between maps is with the apex laptop software. You should call apex usa and ask!(not trying to be a smart ***!)

imissmyturbo: Stock turbo dude! I don't benchrace so i have no idea on 1/4 mile times until i have a time slip in my hand. so many variables to count on. . .tires, weather, altitude, driver skill, luck, just way too many things you know? i'll be sure to let you know though. I want to see what it does too!

tpeezy: thanks, RB25 i think were rated 250. RB26 are rated 280 though

What kind of base maps were available when you had the apexi software edit it? I have 550cc injectors and would love a better place to start than the stock 370cc map.

Should the stock BOV be allowing that? If it is compressor surge, my car sounds the same. =\ Does that mean the bov is malfunctioning, and if so, how can I correct it? (Outside of ordering some uber sweet jdm bov of doom)

Realboring240: Is your BOV recirculated or vented to the atmosphere? Any idle problems if so? I'd like to do the same since I have the PFC.

I have been around a dyno for a while and the only cars we dynoed in 4th gear were B13's and B14's SE-R because they didn't want to kill 3rd gear. And when we did a 3rd gear pull vs a 4th gear pull the hp diffrence was 1hp. The Dyno Jet software dose all the math for you for the 1:1 gear on the dyno pulls.

1wheel: thanks dude! What i hope is the CAR can keep it up! haha

Bluefire: I didn't "technically" save up for a pfc, i came upon a deal i couldnt pass AND it was already here (U.S.) so i swiped the plastic! I don't see how you'll find time with all those cars you have coming and going! Big thanks to ya'll over at G-Dimension though! I'll be back for some more work though so be prepared! haha

easy p: no BOV at all. I'll be putting one on soon just didnt have one since i put on the FMIC. if your car sounds the same then chances are it is compressor surge. ..i havn't seen how to adjust the stock one, maybe you can start a topic and get help from the board!

hey whats up man, i just got my car back from mckinney. They were supposed to be done in Oct. but i had Gude performance do a port and polish job and something went wrong, both companys said they couldn't find the problem(low compression on cylinder 2 & 4) and it smoked like a chimney so we just stuck a stock head on to get me home (Illinois) around February 21, they gave me the ported head, i'm going to St. louis today to a tuning shop for a dyno and tune, the owner has a Skyline GT's and did a port and polish job herself so she should be able to look at that head and find the problem. her car was in ImportTuner or Supper Street i can't remember. My car kind of sputters at a higher RPM and then kicks in, this is my first turbo so wasn't sure if that was normal, but i don't think it is so thats why i'm going to the shop today i will let you know the results of the dyno when i get back tonight!...peace out!

Well got my car on the dyno today. Here are my mods; GReddy intake and intercooler, Koyo radiator, megan down pipe and test pipe, and a tanabe S.M.R exhaust.........I got a 246. the shop said its pretty consistant but they said I need a stand alone system if i want to see real progress and said a boost controller would have helped me a lot.....I didn't think it was too bad since the RB25 only rates at 250 anyways...What do you guys think??

no 246 isn't bad for a baseline, get a boost controller and some kind of fuel management and you can easily increase those numbers ...
