I finished wiring the auto up in the merc the other night and went for a test run.

Firstly, the twin 2.25" exhaust with three mufflers is a bit too loud for a Mercedes. I pretty much copied the 5.7 Commodore setup. I like it, but the missus won't. Might need to chuck an x-pipe in there to smooth it out a bit.

Apart from that, it hammers!! I was going up a steep hill near the shop with an s bend in it. Got through the first section of the bend, floored it and it kicked down into first, putting the car sideways. I held it on and it kept spinning for another 50 meters. My VG30DET Z won't do that!

I took it to get some new front tyres yesterday and people were giving me funny looks.

Now all I need to do is get the indicators to work and it'll be registered. And then I'll need to sort out the bugs and put the interior back together. The right hand head is touching the steering box on left hand turns, so I'll need to space up the mount on that side. Also need lowered front springs because I took the self levelling shocks out of the rear. It sits on its *** at the moment.

Ah haha!!! "All I need to do is get the indicators to work"..

I spent half an hour today trying to work out why the indicators weren't doing anything. Pulled the steering wheel off to check power at the switch etc. Then I remembered I'd unplugged the hazard switch when I pulled the console out to modify the shifter. Stoopid!

Video soon.
