Hello everyone. Took my G37S Coupe AT up to Vegas for the annual Kings vs. Avalanche Frozen Fury hockey game over the weekend. First extended trip I've had in her and it was a blast. Averaged about 24 MPG at 85 MPH the whole way and she purred like a kitten. Soooo tempting to nail it on some of those long straight flat roads from the OC to Vegas but I kept myself in check pretty well. Last time I drove it was in my old Jeep GC and the difference was obviously night and day.

Kings won (WOO!), Vegas is still a blast and the G made the drive easy.

How did you calculate 24 MPG?

Did you divide miles traveled by number of gallons to fill up

Here is how I do my calculations

Mileage Miles Traveled Price per Gallon Price to fillup Gallons MPG

94583 368 15.329 $2.47 24.00 $38.00

Or did you just view a display on the dash?

I drove over 3k miles lol...

It was a blast and I have to say the mountain's in West Va were so much fun! I found myself hitting well into the tripple digits on the way down lol

I relied on what the dash told me. Filled up, hit the reset and then drove out to Vegas. Made a quick stop for lunch in Baker and was still able to average a little better than 24 MPG for the trip up. Coming back took way longer due to traffic but still up around 22 MPG

I said the same thing you did.. "next time". I was tempted to stop in there on the way up and on the way back but never bothered. I should have, I freaking love me some beef jerky! I also should have gotten my picture next to the worlds tallest thermometer. I'm heading back in November and plan to drive it again so, you know, next time!

Yeah, it's lots of fun... my luck finally ran out when I got a speeding ticket going 10 miles over the limit... now I'm paranoid the next time I wouldn't be able to go to traffic school (for another 18 months).
