Some areas around here use calcium chloride along with rock salt in a slurry they spread on the road, it's amazing how much damage that stuff can do in one year, especially to a Hardbody which isn't know for its resistance to salt. My 96 is completely rotten and is no longer street legal because of how bad the salt got it. Seeing a Hardbody is getting kind of rare up here these days (most have rotten frames due to road salt), seeing one in the condition mine is in is unheard of unless if came from FL like mine did. I plan on keeping it a long time as I am not one who trades cars like baseball cards.
As for mods: It seems I have been working on fixing the suspension and steering forever now, it handles great but it does need to be lowered. I am lowering it 2" in the rear and giving it a sporty raked look with all Moog, Energy Suspension and Sway A Way parts in the front which I have sitting in my living room as I type this. The rear already has a Hellwig RSB but I am adding ES bushings and steel blocks back there.
Engine mods: None, just really good maintenance. I plan to replace the exhaust system next Spring along with a good tuning. Then I'll have it for the fun of it.
Thanks to everyone who has commented, it's inspiring to me and I am glad you guys enjoy it.
