James - that's actually the muffler you're seeing. The resonator is about four feet forward on the system.

Youre damn right. But the one in your photos is a GX470. It looks like a freezer box with wheels under it.

We have a 2004 LX470 in the garage and I hate it. The third row seat is a freaking joke.

I do like the IS though, that's about it as far as Lexus goes though.
