Took my NX2000 to the local 8th mile

Made my 2nd trip to the local 8th mile to figure how to launch my car. It's been a while since I have raced with a FWD car, even more so one with a light flywheel. Track was packed and it was good temps.

3rd and last race, freaking track is packed now just like the 1/4 I only got 3 runs last time but tonight it was really packed. I got set next to a newer celica GTS with exhaust. This was my best pass of the night, good launch and didn't miss any gears. Mods on my car. SR20VE with stock SR20VE header, VRgay 2.5 exhaust with VRGay special crooked muffler, Calum ECU, Front Tires set to 20psi after 1st race. B15 trans. I also reburned the chip on the way to track because the old program had my running very rich at wot. My MPH went up pretty good since the last week. Can't wait to put a header on the car and get a 2.5 cat on there. Also going to try and tweak my WOT program to hit 13.2 A/F.

I take it you were on street tires? If so, not a bad 60ft. Best 60ft I ever pulled on street tires was 2.0 and that was turbo back in the day. Go times and 80mph is moving, especially NA.

Yeah street tires. It's kinda of a bog/launch move on my part. The flywheel is giving me hell to launch with. too low and it bogs too high and I just spin for days. Next time if I can more than 3 passes I can play with diffrent RPMS. My VVL is kicking in at 4800 and 5000.

How light of a flywheel do you have? I just put a 10.8lb jun in mine. It definately revs like a crazy mofo, but didn't notice any driveability issues, except for the clutch, but thats a whole different story.

I'm really not sure which 1 I got. I was in a rush so I got one off ebay new. With the old motor and flywheel I could lauch it at 3k and get going pretty good. If I try that now I bog lol too high and I spin.

1/4 mile in car vids. 2700 feet elevation. Bla bla Fixed one of my problems, and took out the SR20VE cams for some SR16 cams. Redynoed and picked up 10hp and no loss of TQ. Not sure if my problem was causing the lower HP reading last time. Anyway here are the vidz zerothread/184581
