Ran the Texas Mile in Beeville last weekend.

1st run was 154.6 mph
Fastest run was 156.4 mph

The car looses speed from 4th to 5th so started running the last half of the mile in 4th. Took out the back seat and taped the front spoiler. That helped me with the increase in speed.

Seems a taller rear end gear ratio could help get strong pull from 5th gear.

I added HPS intakes, x pipe, cut outs, and 2nd cat delete.

Nice job that's a pretty good speed . I'm pretty impressed with that from a near stock car . I would love to run my Subaru in that but I'm in NY maybe one of these years would love to see 200mph

I have wanted to try a M37 differential with 3.36 gears but I am almost certain that it would mess with the ABS, VDC, Cruise control and TCM.

Thank you! It was a lot of fun? My friend has a Lamborghini that did 246.4... Crazy fast! You should come down to Texas you would have a blast!

That looks like a hell of an event. Wanted to try that with my 06 Chrysler 300 srt8. Stuck a 440ci in her and had it at 177mph local roads. She had more in her to go. I'm curious what these 3.7's would be able to do N/A?

My car with the mods (before the Uprev Tune) made 371 HP and 366 ft/lbs at the rear wheels and 391 HP and 383 ft/lbs after the tune. But the car shifts feel muddy. Hopefully the tuning can be improved.
I dont know what the m37 makes at the wheels but i would guess it could do 140ish. Cant that motor be modified to crazy levels of performance though?
@DFW all i bought is a uprev license, do yo know what else I need to be able to tune (carefully) the car myself?
@Postal 177 mph sounds awesome!!

MpamP, yeah. It was built for the street. No quarter mile times. But never backed away from a street race. And hunted Lambos & Ferraris all the time on weekends downtown in my city. 100% N/A. Awesome freeway car. Stuck a custom dual snorkel CAI that woke it up even more after 90mph. Miss that car a lot. But I get tired of cars after 3 years and move on to the next project. Hence my Q70S. I kind of see a Stillen in my future to keep up with the 5.6's. LOL

My M37 puts down 312 HP to the wheels on a DynoJet after being Uprev'd. I've had it up to 145 mph and backed off it. I'm sure it'll go past 150 mph.

Dkasm37 nice numbers. That's what I'm shooting for with my combo. 310-315. Anything more is icing on the cake. Bet your numbers would've been better on 20's. Those 22's you have listed rob HP.

@PostalsQ. Thanks man. I'm sure the 22's are robbin' some power. I like the look and I'm accustomed to the harsher ride. Been rolling on rubber bandz for a while, definitely not for everyone though. Might throw some 20's on it later on, just not sure I'll be able to live with the wheel gap n then I'll end up having to blow $$$ on some BC's. Lol

Agreed Wheel gap is bad w/o dropping. I have wheel gap for days, maybe airbags will be next. Too bad Airrex costs 6k+

My Eibachs definitely helped out but would prefer it slightly lower. I just couldn't justify droppin' a grand + installation costs on some BC's. They would be nice, no doubt about that. Ultimately decided on the Stillen & Uprev for performance vs the aesthetic. Airrex is the creme de la creme though. Shout to Beachbum, dope ride!!

Beachbums air ride is fantastic. I'm really thinking of getting 22's for the same reason. Fill the gap. Rubber banz. :rotfl That made me laugh. :rotflmao Good 1. But so true. Just hope I don't get pulled over by police on the regular for driving on 22's LOL. :frown:

Eibachs might be a good option. But roads near me scare the bejezus out of me. :gotme Afraid I'll scrape up the bottom of my ride. I know the positives are I'll handle better being lower, center to gravity and all. And another thing to point out. Could be wrong. But I thought I've read that lower cars are more aerodynamic for my matching of Dkasm37 speed runs LOL. :dblthumb: But the cons. Oh man. Puckering :ohno:

Lol Had exhaust cut outs 2 feet behind header!! Lol I bolted covers on after I left the event. It was so quiet compared to open exhaust I could not tell the engine was running!

Come on down! Texas has lots of long empty roads to drive too fast on!

Mom grew up in Dallas. But I was raised in the SF Bay Area. Still have kin in Texas. I'm really thinking of retiring in Tx cause of the conservative attitude and being pro 2nd amendment. Californias liberal attitude drives me nuts. And the people are so unfriendly in SF. Smile or say Hi and your either ignored or looked at as a weirdo. I bought my Dodge Ram 2500 last year in Texas. So I drove back. Very familiar with the long flat roads. I was thinking. If only I had a fast car to try some high speed runs. LOL.

I forgot to ask. Did folks look at you strangely for bringing a luxury car? Were you of the minority with a sports sedan? BTW. I like the murdered out look. Like a dignitary car. 2 guys coming out armed with MP9's. badazz

I wish I had known about this though. Would have been two murdered out 2011 M56S at the event that sound almost identical, lol. I was visiting my sister south of San Antonio off 35 and was only 100 miles away!

No strange looks from the participants or crowd. The M is not a car seen often and some people most likely didn't know what it was. DFW it would have been great to have you running with me! Also would have been nice to compair our results. there are not a lot of luxury four-door cars that attend the mile however there was a lady from Houston with an RS 7Audi. that sucker did 187 miles an hour in the standing mile. It's a freaking beast!!!
