and managed a healthy 178HP @ 5960rpm and 243Nm @ 2957rpm torque at the wheels ( on a hub dyno ). Very pleased with the results.....as only mods are: VR4 intercooler 3" exhaust Pod filter and the lack of power steering and air con.

and it has 440cc injectors, and RB coil packs.....but it hasn't been tuned to run more fuel, so they should make little difference.

also, the Crank angle sensor has just been slapped in there.....havn't got around to timming it yet!

so, I'm pretty happy with that!

does that sound along the lines of what others have been getting?

yep, 179 ft/lbs.the torque reading is at the motor tho, not the wheels. ( multiply by your diff ratio to get torque at wheels in 4th gear )

That torque curve looks wierd. Anybody else think so? Last time I saw a dyno with a torque curve like that was on a VTEC Honda...

under 3,000 it's not, but over that it is. It still looks weird. Normally you hit peak torque and then it tapers as the revs increase.

any ideas as to why mine looks the way it does then?could it be to do with that I haven't really tuned it at all yet? ( like havent don ign timing.....think its running a bit rich too )

It could. You could be all over the map with fuel, and at certain places it does good for torque. Are you running an EGT gauge? I'd be interested in seeing where teh EGTs fall when the torque moves.

whats an EGT gauge? ( Exhaust Gas Temp??? )DET's dont run EGR's if thats anything similar......They were meant to give me a AFR readout aswell, but they broke the O2 sensor when it fell off my exhaust cause they didnt clamp it right.I would hav been reeally interested in where the AFR's were too.

Nice power curve, esp with non tuned 440s. Very stable. I too would like to see your AFRs and EGTs.

That torque curve is wild man....

Yep, Exhaust Gas Temperature.EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirc. and has to do with emmissions (and is crappy)

ok.....just bought a RB20DET MAF....do you think that would change power much? ( only changing the ECU to suit the maf...not tuning ).worth doing another duno run? ( I'm gonna ask for a cheap, single run, cause I didn't get AFR ratios on the last runs )

I would be very interested to see if you make some power by fitting that MAF, I have one to put on my car eventually. Its certainly a lot bigger.btw are you from Chch, I saw some similar dyno results posted on SNZ.

SNZ = NZ SilviaI get the feeling that S13 has a few mods, I went on the night cruise for the South Island Nats with the Silvia club and he was there. Mate that hail was extreme! There were some guys on the cruise in a Datto, the guy had another one with a CA18 and a Toyota supercharger.

yeah, we were on the cruise in my flatmates FXGT, cause my 1600 got green stickered on the friday night.yeah there were a few 1200's and a couple 1600's around. The guy with the CA18 and toyota S/C.....he wasnt driving it was he?cause one of my mates has a 1200 coupe with a S/C CA18 in it....but hes got the motor out at the moment to panel the car.he would've been driving his standard white 1200 coupe?....guys name is John.

Yeah that's the guy, he was in his standard car, I talked to him and his mate about it a bit. Good on him for doing a custom s/c conversion but I guess he works at the perfect place.Green sticker eh, not cool. At least it didn't stop you geting to the dyno
