took my 03 g sedan into the dealership today for a clunking noise. they told me that it was the left front shock, and that my extended warranty didnt cover shocks, but it covers struts. the damage came up to 300 with taxes and stuff. the thing is, the tech told me that the other shock was fine and that he saw no need in me replacing it. wont this eventually cause problems, and will have to be replaced? and another thing, is why isnt thins covered, did they "g" me? i called infiniti customer support and open an investigation to see if this is covered, b/c when i bought the car the salesperson told me the extended svc covered all but pad, and belts and rubber and such.

any insight from you guys, or feedback...

well...it shouldn't cause a problem...one side of things go bad all the time. hmm dunno why it wouldn't be covered though.

come to find out it wasnt the actual shock that was changed. it was the inner part, the absorber as i'm told. so, now i feel like i got ripped off. i thought this car had struts up front, not shocks...i have an extended warranty, so maybe thats my i have no coverage...but infiniti is looking into it. any insight as to why they would just change the inner part of the shock and not the whole thing? and by the way, they clunking noise is still there.
