took head off, after reinstalling, car wont start!!

the car turns over PERFECTLY fine, but wont start. seems like its missing spark, so replaced the spark plugs and still nothing!checked fuses, still nothing.

just checked and the answer is no for compression, what did i F**k up?

is the head warped at all? everything torqued to the proper specs?

i have no idea about the head being warped. its a blown motor, im just trying to get it started and do what i can with it becuase i cant afford another motor. i blew it at 26 pounds of boost! haha. head studs are not torqued to specs.

DAMN! 26 lbs of boost, you are my ka-t hero.

you need to make sure the head is not warped out of spec before you do anything else, then you can go about getting things re-installed correctly per the tq settings in the FSM.

it might be cheaper to find another running KA motor at this point

yeah, haha, blowing it was for SURE worth it!!! even though i have been without a car for over 2 months. . . and yeah im gettin a ka monday or tuesday, its off a s13, what do i have to change to make it fit to the s14 chassy? shouldnt be much right?

uhhh, keep your intake and exhaust manifolds from your s14 to avoid vacuum/wiring re-routing and ecu problems. the s13 ka has the coil separate from teh distributor while on your current motor the coil is on it. youre going to have to deal with that as well.

other than that everything is the same.
