Last nite, a buddy of mine brought out his parents mint condition '84 'Datsun' 50th Anniv. Edition 300Z Turbo! This thing was FLAWLESS, only 53k original miles, still has a 60k scheduled maintanence coming...AMAZING! It had the digital dash, Bodysonic seats, electronically adjustable suspension (soft/normal/firm). Here's some pics, theyre at night so there's bad lighting:(...

yeah i got a ride, we cruzed around with my buddy with a '99 323i for prolly a good hour, it SOUNDS amazing and its all stock, its not very fast, but the sound of the turbo screaming was amazing, it also had a G-force meter inside and compass, the Bodysonic seats have speakers in em which was really cool, and it was a t-top. at one light, he let the turbo spool up and hit boost b4 he let it loose, it was BA! The only problem in my mind is.....this dude's normal car is a modded '89 5.Slow automatic, looks pretty good but its slow.:(but watever, i got to ride in that car and see it, im happy!

There was one one ebay awhile ago that ony had 245 miles. Not thousand JUST 245 miles. Some dealer had bought it and keep it in the show room. It looked like a great ride. It sold for a pretty penny too.

To answer the question above, the Car says both Nissan and Datsun, that was the cross-over year. The 83's said Datsun, the 84 had both, and the 85 dropped Datsun. I have a non-turbo 84' in very good shape I bought brand new...I was in LOVE with that anniversary car but it was 28k new and the insurance for a new turbo car for a 23 year old was like 6k back in 84'.

As for the dash, it works VERY well. While people have accused it of being a disco dash, when it works it rocks. The Tach shows you excess horsepower the engine creates at differnt RPM, the cruise system rocks with a third stick under the turn signal, the seats are the best seats, and overall the digital stuff is cool. Keeping it working takes some work, but mine is 100% working.

I remember that one... but I think it was actually a trade in. A private owner had kept it in his garage the entire time and just drove it around the block once a week (or so) to keep it in good working order. Then he used it as a trade in for something at that dealership. They were keeping it in their showroom until it sold on Ebay.

That is even more inpressive if i guy was able to keep it for so long without putting miles on it. Of couse i would rather drive it and have fun.
