Made my first longer jaunt in the Q45 in a while this weekend. I said longer, but in actuality it was only a 90 minute drive to be honest. Spent the weekend up at West Baden Springs Resort for the inaugural World Class Driving Festival. Beautiful hotel and locale, but the cars stole the show.
The Q did perform flawlessly and to be honest in a parking lot full of new Jags, Bimmers, Porsches and Bentleys it did not look out of place in the least! What a timeless, sexy sedan... I got a couple of comments from former owners; I'm sure they were wishing they had the mental toughness and stamina to own a G50 to this day. I went backroad almost the entire way enjoying zero traffic, windows down and sunroof open listening to the wail of a healthy VH45. Had the opportunity to exercise the car into the triple digit range on straights between large rolling hills, with beautiful 20+ mile views at the top.
It slipped my mind to get any pictures with the Q or scenery driving up, but did snap 60-odd pictures of Supercars. Its a new camera and my first experience with a camera of any sort so there are some flaws in them.

And here are some pictures of the hotel that hosted the event:
The event was a great, great experience and I was able to drive 9 cars. I drove the F430 Scuderia, Audi R8, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche GT2, Ford GT, Bentley Continental GT Speed, Nissan GTR, Ferrari 599GTB, and Spyker C8 Spyder. Unbelievable day!
The festival will be hosted again for 2009 at West Baden and even if you don't drop a couple grand to drive the cars and get a hotel room and complimentary casino credit line you can enter the grounds for $10 per adult and view all the cars, also includes lunch and soft drinks. They had $50 Million worth of cars on display last week.
