A Toyota 22re? Yeah, kinda odd question, but I'm boosting my Toyota truck and there isn't that much support. If you don't know the engine and would like to chime in anyways, here's some specs:
2.4 liter SOHC I4. 116hp 135 (or 140, can't remember) tq.
For a few years in the 80s Toyota introduced a turbo version of this motor in their truck lineup (pickup and 4runner), they called it the 22rte and it produced 135hp and 173ft/lbs. Not a lot of power at all, but I enjoy driving this truck without forced induction, so I'm sure I will enjoy it much more with. I love my truck and it very much so deserves some boost. I picked up a rebuilt 22re with low comp forged pistons and a metal HG for 500 bucks and plan to throw a few lbs at it. You can really only go so far with this motor before the HG says FU, even with a metal HG and arp studs (the latter I don't have nor plan on). So I will be happy with a mild boost on a small and responsive turbo. All the supporting mods will be included.

I'll be happy building boost very early (2k rpms) and holding it to 6k. I'm thinking no more than 12lbs. I daily drive the truck nearly 500 miles a week just to work, and use it to haul many auto parts, home improvement items, and my bike. I may even buy an atv or a couple wave runners. So good useable power is what I'm looking for. On to the turbo I'm looking at

Garrett T28 TE2701 turbine
RB26DETT Turbo
Identification number: 14411-05U20
T28
T3 Compressor Housing AR42
Wheel T3 Trim 50
Inducer = 42.51
Exducer = 60.1

Turbine
Housing AR 48
Wheel T25 Trim 62
Inducer 53.8mm
Exducer 41.7mm

I like that it's a T3 flange because I found a T3 top mount manifold.

And some pics for fun

If its an rb26 turbo then its t2 flanged not t3. The rb25 turbo is a t28 and is t3 flanged.

This was the first motor I played with about 15 years ago. It was my best friend's car, a 1983 celica gts, basically a 240sx built by Toyota 10 years earlier. It had a cam from Toysport oversized valves, copper headgasket, o-ringed block, ARP studs, forged pistons around 7.5:1 C.R. Turbonetics cast log manifold, TO4b compressor t3 stage III hotside, external wastegate, Haltech E6K. Running about 16 psi it made about 325 whp. For a car that was supposed to have 112hp stock it was a fun sleeper car messing with F bodies and mustangs back in the day. The head is the choking point pushing high hp.
