what are some opinions by people who either have FWD KA-Ts or would know the results or the general sensibility of turboing a KA in a FWD setup.

i'm talking wheelspin... a lot of it... is it just not going to be worth it on a FWD car, or should I start to go ahead with a KA-T project?

I've seen lots of fast FWD nissans, maximas, sentras, and altimas, all turbocharged. If you get a limited slip it will help a lot. Lowering springs, polyurethane bushings, and harder engine mounts will help wheel hop.

what kind of lsd? cause I think that in a FWD you want something aggressive. ideally helical for a driver or a road car, but a clutch type for a drag car would be good. or if its just a drag car, then a spool...

Viscous LSD is stock on all 90-92 Stanza GXE.Look for the following transmission number: RS5F50V (MT) , RE4F02V (AT)

I've no idea if the SE back then came with VLSD or not.

FWD LSD selection was discussed in GRM's May 2004 issue.

sweet! you guys are awesome. so is a viscous LSD not so great as far as LSDs go? or is it pretty much my only option (i dont know of any aftermarket LSDs for stanzas).

viscous is OK for a street car, they are just not too agressive, they wear out over time, and they are slow to react.

I'll agree with the helical vote...Just gotta find how you could get one in there...

Turbocharged applications usually make alot of power therefore result in wheelspin; This is a fact of life unless your car has a "subaru" badge on it. I agree that springs, struts,LSD, better engine mounts, bushings and etc. will be a big help. Some sticky tires and pratice timed launches until you find the fastest launch possible (minamal wheelspin@maximum RPM/boost).

I would LOVE to have a KA-T Altima,good luck!

theres talk of swapping the ATTESSA AWD system into a stanza since the U12 Bluebird had it, but so far it's just hearsay and it'd be a lot of fab work on the rear end.

basically i think ill look for an lsd and lower it, that should help with wheelspin when my HPs around 200-250, which is what im aiming for right now.

first things first, i need to do a 5 speed swap and then start collecting parts for the turbo setup. :D
