TOO MUCH OIL!!! I NEED HELP!!!

i have a 3.5 altima coupe can any body tell me how much oil i need to put in? they said at the dealer 5.5Q. any body know how i can fix this problem? or it it ok that my oil level is above the max line?

the 3.5 take 5 quarts of oil with a new filter.

Half a quart over isn't the end of the world, but it might be a good idea to pull the drain plug for a second and put it right back in. gonna be messy, you decide how important it is to you LOL

pulling the drain plug will be easy but to put it back it is the problem. LOL well thank you for telling me that it is only 5q. unless some one tells me that it will cause sever damage to my car i think i will leave it till my next oil change. but THX

pulling the filter will also drain about half a quart. just a thought.

I think it's 4.7 quarts for the 2.5S, with new filter.

i remember the manual said 4 and 7/8 quarts so just about 5. Just undo the drain plug when it's about to squirt out use ur hand to turn slowly when enough came out then just plug it back..... will be messy but hey

Who put too much oil in it in the first place??

That little book in your glove box........Open it up

it only takes 5 qts and a nissan #15208-65F0C filter

i pulled the drain plug and got it fixed. but that was the longest oil change ever. and when i was done i felt some thing wet! there was oil dripping out of my sweat shirt!!!. LOL that sucked. (it was also snowing and -2 outside)
