too much oil consumption

ive got a 95 240 w/ 120,000 miles on itw/ headers full exhaust and no cat.one of the many problems i have is my oil consumptionim thinking its the valve guides/seals but i wanted to check w/ you guys.if it were the piston rings would it not burn blue smoke out my ***?? halike to where its real noticeable b/c i havent seen any smoke at all and if it were in fact the guides wouldnt it put off the smoke as i take off?i kno its a dumb question for sure but thanks again.oh and no its not leaking oil.
