hey guys.

just got done with my KA-T setup. i have a slim problem. the car runs and everything, but once you hit like 2700 rpms it bogs and doesn't wanna go any higher. i've been told it's just becaue i need a tune off a dyno. alright, so i have an enthalpy tune for the 370cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, t3/t4, and i need this car to run good. the problem right now is it's running real rich. soooo...

does anyone here with an enthalpy know if i can get the enthalpy tuned? or do i have to buy a whole other wideband to accompany it's tune? i really don't want to spend the money on a wideband if i can get this thing tuned somewhere. i need the A/F ratio fixed and the timing, which i know the timing can be tuned with or without a wideband. does anyone know if the enthalpy can be tuned at any dyno that offers tuning services? your help is appreciated!

I thought the Enthalpy was supposed to make it so you don't need to tune... WTF?

umm do you have a SAFC?? if you do why don't you get her dynotuned at Enjuku or XAT?

enjuku has no dyno up here you crazy mofo.

and yeah, i thought the enthalpy didn't need a tune at all either. supposedly it comes 95% tuned. the car idles high at like 1700 constant, but as i said it bogs. i don't wanna buy a frickin wideband. ahh.

Check your IACV... it may be sticking causing a rich condition, also that's why you would have a high idle.

you just spoke spanish to me. either that or i have some searching to do. what should i be looking for? is it basically just an idle control valve i need to adjust? if so i've done that on a friends car once, but it was a... cough.. civic. and all it took was two turns with a screwdriver. is it similar to that?

Yeah, maybe.. it's on the lower left side of the intake manifold.. make sure you let your car warm up, then unplug the TPS sensor before you change the idle.. then when you get the idle where you want it, turn the car off, and plug the sensor back in...

I had a IACV that was sticking a bit... caused hesitation over 3000rpm and a rough idle if I turned it lower... it made a sucking whisle noise, I had a extra on hand so I swaped it out and it fixed the problem.

your high idle is controled by that valve, that's the way to fix it it's really easy.

I got rid of it completely on my last car. It would only idle at about 500rpms when cold though, not a big deal.

thats either ur MAF or IACV. u could use some carb cleaner in the IACV to see if that helps.................the IACV is the only tube that comes from in between your throttle body and the head of the engine. It was connected to your intake pipe real close to the throttle body. but now it could be connected to your intake pipe on the turbo or the cold pipe connected to your throttle body.

ALSO check the enthalpy ecu itself. open it up and make sure everything is still connected.

when my buddy got his the chip had popped off the circuit board during shipping. it ran all sorts of funky. we pushed the chip back together and it ran like a champ. no need for tune on enthalpy ecu!

id recommend starting here. very easy to do before trying to replace iacv and all that jazz.

i ordered the aeromotive FPR with the nismo B adapter. i get it tomorrow.

also, we adjusted the timing today and the car stopped missing. revving almost perfectly. hit 10 psi every time with no problems. just the idle is busted running this rich so it'll sort out after the FPR.
