hi guys and gals- so i am now boosting an average of 12-14 psi on a non built sr red top with the factory t24 turbo...im getting major sputtering and hesitation when i romp on the gas and boost starts to kick in. my question is...might this be an issue of needing bigger injectors or simply putting in a high pressure feul pump? i have the pump and have been meaning to put it in. anyone have some tips on changing fuel pumps on s14s? thanks a bunch!-eric

I have a buddy with a red top with a similar problem.. i think it ended up being his fuel pressure regulator. I would probably change that pump ASAP because it only takes like an hour to do. also i would get a fuel pressure gauge so you know if you have enough pressure.. not enough fuel can make you have a really ****ty month! hope this helps

well in an s14 the feulo pump is on the bottom of the tank..ans it usually requires dropping the tank to get to things in there. but ur right ...i should get fp gauge. ANY OTHER THINGS I SHOULD KNOW GUYS/ GALS?

12-14 psi on a t25 and you're asking for trouble. on a stock smic, you're already heat soaking the thing and asking for more trouble. then you're running your injectors near their threshold. If you're doing 12-14 without having switched up fuel pumps, I'll leave it at no comment.

Search and lurk more. You do not need to drop the fuel tank to get to the fuel pump on an s14.

first, turn the boost down you are going to blow the lil t25 up, next check for boost leaks, because that would cause you to spudder under boost, also get a walbro fuel pump and check out your fpr, might not be a bad idea to get a wideband so you can tell if its running too rich or too lean.

well first i have turned the boost down to around .85 bar at peak/average at .63 bar which should be tolerable. and i have a front mount intercooler so thats not a worry anymore/ my piping dosnt have any leaks and as far as changin out the fuel pump...i tried a while back and had the most pain in the *** time doing it! any tips? i am looking into getting an FP gauge. should i just go with an after market FPR or is the factory FPR adjustable enough to allow for the 255lph pump? thanks guys/ gals!
