Ok, here's what I want. A long detailed conversation amont the knowledgeable board members on the best electronic choices for the SR20.

Greedy Profec A with its sweet Fuzzy Logic? or APEXI AVC-R with its too many for me to understand features?

Turbo timer? There are only 300 of them..

If you upgrade Fuel injectors/MAFS.. do you have to have a fuel comptuer? Apexi S-AFC? Jim Wolf Retune? Other options?

Is there anything out there except maybe an Apexi Power FC that can do all of these things? Or what things would link together/compliment well?

Profec B is the simplest, easy to use, and efficient boost controllers on the market. Hey, if it's good enough for Signal's 600 horse S15, isn't good enough for you?

If you use bigger inj, and a different maf, your ecu must be programmed for both, you have options like JWT, E-manage, or a stand alone like haltech, or TEC. i personally dont like using an S-AFC by itself, maybe with a JWT for fine tuning

As far as turbo timers go, all they do is keep the engine running longer to let the turbo spool down. Some come with added feature like I know the ApexI one came with the ability to determine how long to make the engine run after its stopped, but that feature doesnt work on the S13 Redtop.

Others have music, 0-400 meter acceleration time measurement etc, but lets face it you only really use it to let your car idle with the keys in the ignition.

Since the stock ECU was programmed for stock injectors, sensors, boost etc you really should look into aftermarket fuel management once you start upgrading. Another possibility on Fuel Management is the HKS Fcon series which can be a piggyback system or stand alone for your car. If I had the money Id get something from Haltech personally.

Profec A stands for annoying

that thing is so old, the fuzzy logic sucks, all it does it make electronic boost spikes while going down to safety boost all the time for no reason..

Profec B is awesome for an analog non fuzzy boost controler..

AVC-R is great if you know how to use it and have a good external wastegate.

That halteck stuff looks interesting, but I dunno if i have the no-how to dial my engine by myself like that... Which ecu? they have like 6.. the price for the one isnt that bad.. looks like $1300.. Add up a turbo timer, boost controler and Fuel Comp and your almost there anyway..

the blitz SBC-ID seems to be a good option if you dont like the profec B, i would like to know what people using the F-CON think about it.
