Eh for me that ride hight is retarted, i prefer function over form and being able to drive my car. Call me crazy but driving is more fun than adjusting coils to get over a reflector.

Now if i had bags it might be a diff story b/c a flick of a switch and i can get over leaves.

235/45/17 on a 17x9 is dumb235/40/17 if you want some grip215/40/17 if you want clearance and stretch.

I'm actually starting to collect road reflectors. One day maybe I'll have enough to make some sort of mural on my wall. Until then I can only dream.

It's not normally that low, 2 things are causing it to hang that low. 1) I think I broke an exhaust hanger bushing. 2) See picture.

Don't worry, I got the hatch to shut. I took the collars out of all my coils for maximum lowness, I didn't expect to have to haul around an engine. I have to drive 400 miles back home on Friday, we'll see how that goes. Maybe I'll raise the spring perches and duct tape them in place.

[/threadjack]

As far as tire size, 235/40 is the way to go. It will give you enough rubber to fill the fender gap without looking stupid, as well as raise the car more than 215/40's. Here is 235/40 on a 17x9 +19.

Really? Rim tuck lists it at 17x9. It does look a little too flush to be a x9 +19, so I think you're correct.

I could care less, i live in New Orleans and my coils get here next week, there is no way in hell i can even think of going that low and still drive.

My setup prob does suck b/c im still on stock suspension. But i still want to drive my car not high center on a speed bump. If i was still in florida i would go very low but thats just not practical here.

you're a madman!!!! what rims are u getting??a guy around here has those on the rear..looks guuudits the car in my sig with the white wheels..

OK FELLLAS...good and bad news...i got this email today.."Your order has an Estimated Ship Date: 3/24/10 - 4/7/10. This means your order will be shipped out sometime between 3/24/10 and 4/7/10. Those wheels are currently on backorder."

thats obviously the bad news..good news-i have plenty of time to geteverything i need for an alignment put on and figure out what size wheels im guna need.

so now my questions..1)will i need spacers in the front because being as low as i am..the tire is verrry close to my coils and the 2" wider tire couldnt be much better. 2)what else will i need besides adjustable tension rods & RUCAs and why?

there u are! ive been waiting for u to come chime in sometime..well ive heard about needing toe rods & traction rodsbut wasnt exactly sure of the purpose of either and what was NEEDED

Well the only real purpose of the RUCAs and toe rods are to be able to align the rear end. You'll kill tires with too much toe, and your tires will wear un-evenly with camber. Also, toe will make your car handle like s***.

HAHAHA thanks but wouldnt say a madman, just time to get some wheels that arent sunken. I got P45Rs sitting in my front hallway just need to get some tries to test fit when i get the coils in. Not sure how large/small to go.

Ya bushido has the same wheels, actually reason why i bought them,. His car is sick, im not going that low for reasons already stated so i dont think i'll have much of an issue.

BTW what wheels are backorderd for you?

I got mine off ebay for 800 shipped. The guy was gonna go down to 750 but, he said he couldnt go that low on ebay. He said he could do 750 but we would have to settle it between us and i didnt feel comfortable with doing that.

If you really want them then just save the last bit and get it. No reason buying something you really didnt want in the first place.

I had to raise it to fit the 18s, those are 18x9 +15 on a 225/40/18.

I now run battles about a half inch lower, but i don't have pics without the fenders on. My frame sits about 2in off the ground maybe 21/2, and my aero is practically on the ground, i can't stick my foot under it.

But i'm not low enough.

I still need pbm.
