i have heard that having a cold air intake and a plenum spacer can cause the car to run too lean due to too much air, is this true and if so is there still a way to capitalize on the power gains from both such as increasing fuel pressure or something?

UTEC or something along that line would work. When you put bolt ons on the Z you HAVE to tune it to get the most out of it. I also have intake, plenum spacer, test pipes, (soon to be exhaust) but I need to get UTEC to make it all worth the money. BTW, AEM is coming out (or might have just came out) with a new system for the Z, its about 430 and you can get the wideband for it for like another 250-300. Im thinking about going with that instead of the UTEC, still not sure. I believe their is a post in the 350z section about the AEM, check it out.

the extra air might lean the mix a touch but not enoutgh to be a problem, unless your adding forced induction you should be fine on the stock ecu, some tuning might yield a little more power btu the stock tune is very conservitive and lean makes more power than rich
