Blindingly bright to my sensitivie baby blues...best I could do is turn them off and flip one on when I need it. Is there a way to put dimmer light bulbs in them?

I couldn't stand them either. I got LEDs for mine. Mine are blue, but you can get a variety of colors, and the light isn't anywhere near as bright or harsh, since they have choices of bulbs with fewer LEDs that fit the sockets.

I used: http://www.superbrightleds.com/carbulb-notes.htm, but there are many companies that make auto replacement bulbs. Just use a chart for conversion, place an order, and it only takes about 3 minutes to swap out the bulbs.

I did my map lights, overhead light, cargo light and license plate light all for about $20 some dollars, including shipping.

I did the same. Went with the blue. Very satisfied. My interior is black leather and the blue tint is way cool!

thanks so much...blue sounds amazing I never would've thought of that color, but maybe they have pink which is supposed to be kind to the complexion (female hre)! I'm not very handy, is it written somewhere how you actually take those covers off to replace the bulbs (I'll check the booklets but they're in the car now)!

this is great...now one more question, to make them dimmer than what came with the Rogue, am I looking for 9s or 6s?

Thanks!

this sounds very cool.. i'd love to go with amber to match the dash lights, mood light, and my homelink mirror.but i read that it might not look right with the standard map light white lens cover.

can you take a picture of yours?

Didn't have much luck with the pictures......my black interior doesn't reflect at all. All I can say is that I like the muted ambiance. You certainly couldn't read a book, but the blue lights are sufficient for me. My kit consisted of the rear cabin light and the two map lights. I bought the kit on Ebay. About 15 bucks US.

I couldn't get a pic, either. Too dark, too blurry.

As to numbers of LEDs, if you go with a darker light, such as blue, you can probably get 9, since the character of the light is already dimmer. If you go with something brighter, like white, you might want to try the 6.

Does anyone happen to know which size are the DE3175 for the map, dome and trunk lights? Are they all the same length? The site shows

31 x 10 mm Festoon base with 2, 4 or 9 LEDS36 x 10 mm Festoon base with 4 LEDs39 x 10 mm Festoon base with 6 LEDs42 x 11 mm Festoon base with 6 LEDs44 x 10 mm Festoon base with 9 LEDs

I have no idea which one to get, what do you guys think the color i should get if my interior is cloth gray?

And also do i need anything else besides the bulbs if i were to buy the led reverse lights? Are the bulbs pretty much plug and play?

I can only check tonight but if you use the ebay link from denrama, you don't have to take care of that, it is already done by the seller.

Just a note: The LEDs are quite directed light bulbs compared to halogen bulbs (usual radial output which use the reflector of the assembly), so you have a less bright output to start with (I have white 9 LEDs bulbs from the Ebay site). With 6 LEDs and even more if there are colored, they will be even less bright.

Note about the ebay sell: As contrary as the seller sought, the trunk light is not the same for the Rogue and the Scion. For the Rogue, it is the same length as the others bulbs, as in the Scion you need a longer one (1/4 inch longer than the others). So, when you order, let him know that you have a Rogue and that the trunk light has to be the same length as the others.I already exchanged several emails to let him know but it is still good to remind him when you order a set.

The white I have are true white as all LEDs are so with a blueish tint in it.Or, as others have suggested, the amber ones will match the dash lights.

The LEDs are a strict replacement of the halogen bulbs: Remove and replace and check that they are working (they are sensible polarity wise so you may need to turn them 180 deg to make them work). Can an english speaking person rephrase that to be more understandable?

The only LEDs needing additional parts are the ones for the turn signals, where you need load resistors to avoid hyperflashing (indicating that there is a problem with the system).

i dont really want to buy the leds from the ebay person as theres a website that offer the leds at lower prices and offer a variety of choices such as 12 led versions and all my friends buy their lights from superbrightleds.com

According to Svlvania.com link below http://www.sylvania.com/Consum...Guide/

It says for our rogue the map, dome and trunk light all uses a DE3175 while the glove box uses a 158 bulb. So i don't know

Kot says its the festoon 31mm ones so does that mean they're 31mm ones for the map, dome and trunk?

Im probably going to try to change the dome, map, trunk, glove, the whole rear combination lights and license plate lights(hopefully it can look like the lexus is250 lights)

Another thing i just want to switch out the halogen bulbs out for a set of white halogen bulbs (getting a pair for free) anyone have a how to guide on how to take out the bulbs. I was in my garage yesterday looking at it and it seems you need to take out some things to be able to replace the bulbs just not too sure what they are. This is my first car ever so i have no idea what to do on these things.

The DE1375 is equivalent to 31mm festoon bulb. Different vendors uses different terminologies but they are interchangeable. The 31mm festoon is for the dome light alone. The map light is different size. I bought 3 x 31mm festoon bulbs but found out later that the map lights are different than the dome lights. Now I got 2 spare 31mm festoon bulbs (any takers?).

I just ordered T10 sizes for the map lights and hoping that it would fit.

From what I recall, there are all 168 bulbs (short ones). I will check for you tonight if you are not in a hurry (took some pictures too).

That is what I am doing right now. I have to send some LEDs back at superbrightleds.com as they are not satisfactory for the rear lights.I will order the rear lights and turn lights (front and rear) at vleds.com soon, so once again, if you want me to be your penny pig, I will be give feedback soon.

On the passenger side, it is quite easy to access the lights (turn 1/4 the light to remove it and then disconnect the wire. To install it, it is easier to install the bulb and then connect the wire). On the driver side, remove the air intake (3 plastic hardware in the front and it is clipped at the rear) you will have then plenty of place to do it.

I have just installed HID headlights this weekend, That is awesome (will post pics soon).

On this thread, zer...90508, I listed all the reference for the lights on the Rogue.

For the Map, Dome and trunk light, the reference is 3175, but there are several 3175 as you found.

Here is a picture of the halogen bulbs: The ones on the left are for the Map, the other ones for the Dome and the Trunk.

Here is a picture of the LEDs I got for the Dome and the Trunk:

The one on the left has the right size (31 mm), the other one is too long. Some wouldn't want to change the trunk light as they want to keep maximum output, therefore a halogen bulb.

For the license plate, you need two 168 LEDs and for the glove compartment one 158 which is the same as a 168. I changed the license plate bulb with 1 LED bulb (don't want to be read from that far ) but not the glove box as explained above.

Here is a comparison between the halogen bulb (left) vs the LED bulb (right):

I don't know, they looks like WLEDs apparently.I thought the 3175 LEDs existed also in normal bulbs too, but after checking two websites, it seems 3175 lights means festoon bulbs when they are LEDs.

I can recheck tonight to see if there is something written on the LEDs, but they really looks like WLEDs for me.

Darn what confusion.. i was thinking of getting a 20 led for the trunk since people are saying the halogens are brighter maybe this 20 led one would be brighter than the trunk halogen

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Con...32481

and then ill just buy less brighter leds for my map and dome lights just need to find out the correct sizes of those map lights.. Also i thought about the map lights are filter with a white plastic thing i wonder how any other lights besides white would look with it.
