As someone who thinks Newt is a poison I am quite pleased to see him fail. I was approached at a gun show by a person at a gun show collecting signatures to put him on the ballot and I was delighted to refuse her request and make sure she heard just how badly I hoped he would fail. Perry, he's a novelty with less traction than Santorum. Go back to Texas, you are overdue to hold some little girls down and pump sketchy vaccinations into them aren't you?Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry have failed to qualify for Virginia's March 6 Republican primary.
The Republican Party of Virginia announced late Friday and early Saturday that Gingrich and Perry fell short of the 10,000 signatures of registered voters required for a candidate's name to be on the ballot.
This makes me happy. The two guys I can at least consider supporting are on the ballot. Now, there is no certainty they won't have gotten so far behind at that point that our primary might be less crucial, but a guy can hope.Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Texas Rep. Ron Paul met the threshold and will be on the ballot.
