you need soild profile cams to use soild lifters, good luck finding the tomei head conversion tho they are long out of production.

what are you talking about? Tomei still sells the lifters cams and shims. I have a set of lifters in a box in the living room.

Any solid lifter will. Unless you are really pushing the power up high it would be a flash mod not worth the headache.

Constant adjustment??

The RB26 has solid lifters and shims correct??

If you are going from hydraulic lifters to solid lifters, you will need all new valves unless you run about a 2._cm shim. (Yes, centimeters) That would be ghetto and increase the weight of your valve train significantly. You're looking at an expensive modification for minimal performance gains. It's basically an excuse to spend a lot of money with little performance gain.

these aren't honda's... The only adjustment is to replace the shim. You better get the measurement right the first time.

you can grind the shims if your clearances are too tight. if they're already too loose you need a new shim

ahhh the only tru advantage i saw to going with solid lifters ot to run cams with larger duration and to rev higher ( i was told 8500 is limit on hydro). i dont think i will be doing the conversion i just wanted to know about it down the line if i wanted more power
