Has anyone had any experience or heard of anyone using one of these? I was just bored today and looking around various parts sites and came across this ECU/EMS and had never heard of or seen it before...only found two or three other threads that even came up under the search for Reytec and none of them were in the RB forum.

$1250 for the EMS, then an extra $100 for each rom.. seems a bit pricey..

I haven't heard anyone using them state-side though.

i've actually heard good things about it from that steve shadows guy on zilvia. but if you aren't planning to tune it yourself i'd try to locate a tuner near you first before committing to buy it.

Yeah I was thinking it was kinda pricey too. I just looked at it a bit on tomeiusa.com and they have a big demo thing where you can click through the program itself kind of and see little flash versions of the program...kinda neat. It also has a real time data logger which is cool. If it wasn't so expensive I might think about trying it when the time comes to upgrade to a EMS for myself.

its a pretty nifty modified stock ecu made by tomei...converts the car to map so no need for mafs and it has all the consult abilitys with built in maptracing on the fly as well as uploading on the fly so you can tune in real time.also they send you a base rom with a map that will get you going for your setup and they have a repository for other people running the ecu that you can share roms with.
