Cross-posting (i.e. post the same message in more than one forum board) is frowned upon. It's confusing, counterproductive, and some even consider it rude. Please choose the forum topic that is closest to your post, and place it there only. If you should create a post in one forum, and later realize it would be more appropriate in another forum, please delete the original before posting it again.

I for one don't look at most other forums only a select few. I thought it would be best to post in all forums most likely to be associated with the KA24DE engine. This is great news a I wanted to share with a lot of relevant eyes. Not trying to spam at all but when a reputable Japanese company makes cams for a Usdm engine it is a good thing. If you want to block me or delete my post then that's your job but this is by no means worthless cross posting as you say. Someone in each of those areas care about the KA24DE engine and they might not navigate elsewhere. Do what you gotta do. Mahalo to everyone else for looking.

It's just policy to delete duplicate threads dude. If you had any idea how many times people will post the same exact thing ALL over the place...ugh. Most of the time I don't even leave a reply anymore. I just delete them and move on.

Enjuku also sells Tomei cams. The Tomei site lists the stock cam size as 256. Iirc stock duration never exceeds 248 but that varies on model/yr. 270 is a lot of duration. You'll probably move the powerband up a bit with those and sacrifice some bottom end. I'd run 256 or 264 myself...depends on your setup.

I've got them available for preorder...

If anyone's interested, shoot me a PM for pricing. I should have them in stock within the next week or 2, as they are en route from Tomei Japan.

This was the set that we had received for R&D purposes.

Also, just to add, for naturally aspirated applications, adjustable cam gears are required.

We did, but I didn't get a chance to stick around to see the dyno runs... I'll update once I get the results, as my tech is out for the day.

I think it is interesting that some companies are still developing new parts for the KA24DE.

I wondered what "Poncams" meant and searched to find
"What is a Poncam, you ask? The Poncam name is used by Tomei to describe camshafts, designed as a true "drop-in" application and engineered for use on the stock cylinder head, valvesprings, and ECU without compromising performance gains and improved response over the OEM camshaft for both street and track use."

Well that seems to conflict with needing adjustable cams. Anyway, FRSport, what cam gear and what position did you use? Would a JWT cam gear work and which hole would we use (or for those familiar with the paper templates, which hole would we drill out)? Did you have to jump a tooth anywhere?

We're currently testing with JWT adjustable cam gears and should have results sometime next week. The adjustable cam gears are needed to compensate for the retarded timing in an NA application, as the cams are optimized for a turbo application. More details to come shortly.

Did you ever get to test them to see how they do? I'm getting ready to order some to finish up my engine build, the machine shop is waiting for them to finish. Ka24de, bored .20 with arp main studs, king racing xp bearings, ati damper, 10.5 lb chromoly flywheel, manley forged rods, wiseco forged pistons, full balancing, tomei 1mm headgasket, arp head studs, supertech std nitrided intake valves and .7mm over inconel exhaust valves, z1 bronze valve guides, bc dual valve springs with steel retainers, and jwt adjustable cam gears. The head has been ported and polished too. I want the tomei cams, however i will be running naturally aspirated on stock ecu for about 6 months while i save for the turbo stuff (full race twin scroll and downpipe, gtx3071r gen 2 twin scroll, intercooler, id 1000cc injectors with radium fuel rail, aem infinity) so i was wondering what position i will need to use on the jwt cam gears to run them na until im ready for turbo, then ill adjust them back to stock since its meant for turbo. Cams are one of the few things I've not messed with so im not sure about what to degree them for na.
