I bought a Tomei LSD not long ago, maybe around 3 months old or so. I did the proper break in method, fluid changed regularly, but I've noticed that the usual 'clunking' u get while turning doesnt start to happen until after ive driven the car for somewhere around 30 minutes (not sure how this could be. Im guessing it might be related to heat or something). It still seems to work fine though, locks under load and is free when its not under load, just no noise until its been driven for about 30 mins. Just wondering if the fact that it doesnt make any of the usual noise right away is anything uncommon or needs to be looked into. My buddy has the same differential, and it always makes the usual clunking noise right away.

If it's working fine otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it too much... Tomei's are also much less clunky than Kaaz.

That being said, perhaps you use different fluid or have the backlash set differently than your friend w/ the same diff. That's all I can think of.
