Does anyone know if I can just use regular differential fluid from your local NAPA or do I need specific Tomei Diff fluids??

I don't need it I'm asking you guys "do" I need specific Tomei diff fluids. My bro said I should be ok with diff fluids since it's just my DD but I don't want to throw away $900...He said I might have to add additives...

Off memory you should run non-synthetic for tomei/kaaz, nismo can take synthetic though.

you need a friction modifier, if your going with regular gear oil.

Okay. For one, wynnEZ just posted the link! And two, why don't you try calling your local NAPA, or heck why not check the website? Come on guy.

Yes.. it's called friction modifier (it gives the oil friction for the clutch plates in the diff). Or you can surf on the internet and find some Motul 90PA LSD oil that has the modifier already in it I ended up paying about $27 to have a 2litre bottle shipped to my door. And its mineral based so its the exact same stuff that KAZZ, Tomei, and Cusco sells for their clutch type diffs but for less than half the cost.
