it does not seem like a lot of people are using this turbo. why is that? it is a good value compared to the gtrs. it also comes in kit form making it easier to install(hopefully) than the gt25r. also, i posted on the forced induction forum a question, but i may as well recycle it. anyone using the hks adjustable wastegate actuator? i am thinking of getting one when i drop in my sr.

jgybb37r looks like the holy grail of sr20 replacement upgrades. if i were gonna upgrade thats what i would go with(it would be nice if they would post some damn dyno charts though).right now i have an HKS actuator on my S15 turbo, but it's not adjustable other than the rod length that connects to the wastegate flapper. if thats what you're talking about let me know. i have some pics and stuff.

Keep in mind that HKS makes several actuators. The one most everybody gets for our motor is length adjustable, but fixed at ~12psi. I think they have one that has adjustable boost level, but have never seen anyone run one on a SR.

going to run the trust t518z turbo on my sr fafctory postion needs an s14 dump. signal ran 11.74 with one on a built motor and comes in a complete kit from trust down to the lines but no dunp pipe.I chose this over a garret turbo for simplicity and ease of fitment plus the performance figures are backed up with results.cost simialr to a garret gt 25 or gt 28.shoudl be in by the week end

yeah, that looks like a nice setup. i am not a big fan of mitsu turbos. i would prefer to stay all garrett. thats kind of silly though; i am not 100% sure that the tomei is all garrett.

Tomei only uses two turbos for SR's. Both are Garret.

they'll sell you an hks actuator and custom bracket for $120 maybe cheaper if you buy the turbo.personally i like it as an option. i would rather use the HKS one i already have anyway. and put the stock one back on my s15 turbo to sell if i didn't want to keep it around.

how do you like your s15 turbo. i was looking into getting that, but it just doesnt seem like it has long enough legs for me. i need something that can handle 20psi up to redline and i dont think the gt28 can do that. whats your take on it?

so far i like it.it's the only one thats ever been on my engine, and i've only had it upto 12psi.so i can't compare it to anything else, and i don't know about the 20psi thing.i plan on jackin the boost up some more in a few weeks when my power fc shows up.at wich time i'll probably go get on a dyno and post some junk about it.
