Hello. I am currently installing a set of tomei 260duration 8.8lift camshafts in my head..
these are the 'lash' type cams, i thought they where bolt-on? but i had to grind in the head because the lobes where to big and there was little/no clearence..

added a picture from what i did..
anyone else here that have had same problem as me?

Hoping for some quick answers, regards Patrick from Norway ;)

Are you sure the cam specs are accurate?

There should have been plenty of clearance with those particular camshafts, my head had to have notches cut out very simalar to yours, even with a base circle diameter of 29.9mm but this was fitting 13.1mm 261 degree cams..

well on the camshafts it says 2688x and 2688N which probably stands for = 260duration and 8.8lift

Yea, that's weird. 8.8mm lift cams shouldn't need clearanced.

That's weird as i have just installed some HKS 264 x 9.0 cams and they are standard base circle. The cams are no where close to fouling the head in fact i would say that there is at least another 2mm of clearance (by eye).
