Toll tag placement on windshield

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Before I place the stickies on the windshield,I wanted to get the forum's opinion on placement.
I made the mistake with my other car of not placing the toll tag in certain zones as I didn't realize the windshield has an infrared coating,
I see no mention of this in the owner's manual for the EX. Also if you place the tag in the tinted area at the top of the windshield, does the toll tag (ezpass, fastlane, etc) still work?
Thanks

This is what I did with my eZPass transmitter and since it uses suction cups this makes it easier to move around if need be and take it off to clean the windshield.

Costs about ~$5 on Amazon and comes in either white or black.

I live in California where we have FastPASS. Same as all the others and held on with velcro strips.

The drivers side door pocket is lined with a carpet / felt like material. The dash has a speaker.

I keep my fastpass in the door pocket and then when I need it I slap it on the dash and the velcro grabs to the speaker grate wonderfully.

Keeps it out of the way w/o an ugly white box on my window.

I don't think there is an infrared coating. All glass is opaque / reflective to IR.
