Hey Dennis,What exactly is the difference between the HU2890 & the HU2890A. I read your post on Yahoo, but I need a little bit more info. I compared a factory '94-'96 front strut (56110-61U25) & a HU2890 and I couldn't really see a difference, but I know there is. Now I am thinking that either my factory strut or the Tokico is mis-boxed (known to happen). What is a tell-tale difference (by site) that you can notice?-Joe

If the bottom of the shock fits the mounting pin it is correct. Infiniti softened the internal valving in the same physical size except they enlarged the pin on the 94-96 suspension so you cannot install the 90-93 oem shock or the HU2890 on a 94-96.

The 2890 A has a slightly larger inside diameter [where the mounting pin slides in not visable to the naked eye but just enough] but is the same as the 2890 inside or so we found out by reeming the 2890 [when we couldn't get 2890A] and comparing the ride to the 2890A.
