Would the Tokico struts work with the stock springs and what would the ride be like? Or do I need to get Eibach springs? If I would get the Tokico HP with Eibach how well would that set up soak up the bumps in the road compared with stock? Thank you.

You dont <need> the Eibachs. Many just go with the Tokico Blues by themselves.

But conversely, if you<do> get the Eibachs, you need the blues or similiar stiffer shocks.

Fred...:)

Hey I got a question about those Tokico Blues... I was cruisin the stillen.com site and saw that they have Tokico Premium Performance Shocks for the Q and roughly the same price as a set of Blues would be on ebay.

What is the different between the PrmPrf and the Blues? are the PrmPrf =,<,> to the Blues? anyone?

Hi, Rob.

Here is a link to a source that AZHitman arranged that is lower priced than the stillen.com shocks and the posts on eBay.

I got the impression that it was "each", but I don't know for sure. That is why AZ's source is good - even if back-ordered (and you can wait) - four shocks for my 1995 Q45 was about $252 (including shipping).

Plus Eibach springs are $335 at Stillen and $260 at AZ's source. Quite a difference!

There are a number of threads that talk about the Tokico Blues. If you do a search, you will get quick results rather than waiting for responses this late at night (for most of the US anyway!) :)

I have the Blues, and I have had them with AND without the Eibachs. They really are nice, hard to explain other than you'll have a somewhat stiffer ride, but MUCh more responsive and better handling.

I have a new source for the blues, so e-me off-board for details (until i can edit my post that was referenced above). Our prior supplier took good care of us, but refused to advertise with us. So we have a NEW supplier, he's an advertiser, and I'd like our members to do business with a NICO supporter. :D

Hi, AZ!

If he is an advertizer, can you not simply mention the source here? I don't see why that would be a problem.

95% of people get lower springs for the LOOK, not for the handling benefit. Lower springs are a minor benefit to handling and a major detriment to ride quality for real world driving.

Anyone who has lower springs will admit to being frustrated over ride quality, but they love the look so much they learn not to care.

Hmmmmm.

I've not been disappointed with the ride quality... Actually, I think the Blues had more of an impact of the FEEL of the ride than the springs did. Perhaps, since I did the Blues first, then the Eibachs, I was already used to the somewhat stiffer ride.

Of course, we have nice smooth roads here in Phoenix. When the pavement hits 190 degrees on a hot day, all the bumps get smoothed out. :D
