Rears are the same 90-96, however fronts on 94-96 have a different lower mounting pin because front oems were different stiffness.

As noted, you would have to drill out the front mounting holes.

Drill press will probably help.

Why would you even bother?

If you're buying new, throw a few extra bucks in and get the correct size struts to begin with.

Drilling out the lower mounting point on the strut or filing down the mounting point on the hub are both non-practical compared with the minor financial variance between the correct strut and the earlier strut.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a little D.I.Y to save a dollar here and a dollar there, but if you do a cost/benefit analysis, you'll see that its cheaper(dollar-wise) to just get the correct ones to begin with.

As a side note my Q is a late '93/early '94 and it has the newer style lower strut mounts, so there is a good possibility that your struts from your '93 will fit your '96.

No way of really telling without pulling the front struts off the '93 and seeing if will actually fit on the '96.

I don't have access to a '96 or I would try it just for s*#ts & giggles.
