Recently I purchased some Tokico HP (blue) shocks.

I purchased the 350Z version (1" shorter) so that I could pair them up with these:Tein H-Techs

I also go the 350Z version of these for a couple of reasons:

#1) 1.3" F and 1.2" R drop vs. the .4/.3 of the sedan and .8/.7 of the coupe

#2) spring rates - the 350Z version has stiffer spring rates

Now, my opinion: Having just come from the 350Z revised suspension which was a much better handling option over the stock configuration I was hopeful but skeptical. Let me say that this handles MUCH better. The ride quality is better, it is lower and looks better. IMO this is a fantastic option for those of you who want a decent drop without ruining ride quality. They shocks and springs pair up very nicely and keep things smooth, even with the 19" rims I run.

I paid $280 SHIPPED for the shocks (NEW) and paid $120 SHIPPED for the springs (used). $400 was a great and worthwhile investment I'd recommend to anyone who wants to improve looks/handling while keeping a very smooth ride for a daily drive.

I will have to get a picture up of my car, but I need to clean it first. Its been snowing a lot lately and I have a lot of salt all over. I have to keep cleaning it off... LOL

Same shocks I have. Im curious tho, why didn't you go with the d-spec shocks? The Tokico blue shocks are non adjustable.

The valving of the HP were designed to dampen high frequency bounce while giving stiffer and better handling when needed. My car is a daily driver and for half the price of the D-spec it works perfectly. On top of that, they pair up very well with the 350Z H-techs. It made sense.

I almost bought some D-specs but the guy who was selling them didnt wanna ship.

I'm glad I didnt in the end, as these work great.

shot in the dark resurrecting such an old thread but did you use any camber kits front or rear in addition to the shock/ spring combo?
