Well After getting tired of a silly leak for some 4 years now, I decided it was time to do something about it. So i went to my toolbox and grabbed some of my tools, and got to work on my bathroom faucet. That's right, not a car. It felt weird, since I didn't have any plumber specific tools. But I got under the sink like I would a hood, and got to work. It wasn't that bad, really. Filthy and wet, but otherwise it was nothing hard to handle considering I have absolutely no experience as a plumber. I mean I know being Mexican it's automatically assumed I can do any sort of handyman work for a few cases o' beer but still... I got it done. Here's how it turned out:

Turns out when I finished, it was perfect. No leaks, no re-do's. It was great. Of course, like when I put together an engine or something there are extra parts at the end but they weren't important. hopefully
Now I'm impressed with my own work and want any excuse to go use the new faucet. Go and touch something dirty, test surfaces to see if they're dusty, drink continuously, do the dishes in a new spot, etc. Flexibility is key to working with your hands!

Nice job

Had a faucet leak a few years ago. First I went to buy a washer. Replaced washer, faucet still leaked. Back to the plumbing supply and they said I needed a gerber stem. Replaced that! Still had a faucet leak. Back to plumbing supply. They said it must be the seat. Purchased a new seat as well as a seat removal tool. Removed old seat. Replaced new seat. Still had a drip.
Returned to plumbling supply where they now told me to replace the entire faucet.
You made a wise decision by replacing the whole fing thing.
I hate to do any king of plumbing work. Nothing ever seems to go right

He is Mexi- can.

Hey Poyzi. I have been doing one of my bathroom for the last 2 weeks. LOL Ripped everything out. Did new plumbing for my bathtub. Put bathtub in with shower unit. Now finishing the wall tiles and move to the floor tiles. Than toilet, sink, cabinet and painting.

My wall tiles were a biotch to install. Stupid interlocking tiles and so frickin tight. Argh. Anyways at least that is done.

Good job BTW.

Looks good man! I had to recently replace my 3 toilet "innards" because they were running. Gotta love owning a home!
