I Have the 2grand and I am picking it up tonight. (silver 94 q45, 85k miles) Thanks for the peeps that replied to my last post. I have one more request for advice. I have been looking at all of your cars and I believe the rims and tires really make the Q look incredible. What size tires and rims look great on the "94'? I really like falkdesigns rims by the way.

Looks reflect personal taste, so your call. Do you prefer to judge them still or moving?

As to what works the best, that is another question that has been extensively discussed here, especially by Q45tech.

Awright! Way to go! You got a great deal ... and ... oooo ... silver - I love the look of the sheet metal in silver.

What about those dealer records?

My preference is no bigger than 17"s. This is a heavy car, built for good sturdy 15"s. Not worth the cost of new rims and acceptable tires, when you consider weight and strength.

Just my opinion.

Yeah, it is really hard to judge how any rims and tires look until they are on the vehicle..It does make a huge additions to the overall look of the Q.

I talked to the woman and she said that she found the service record in the car. I didn't discuss maintanance much because I probably know more about the car after reading on this site for one day. I will let you guys know on monday how the car rides, and also to bug you for more info.

Please read previous posts first before posting questions.

Plan on doing a transmission flush (fluid has probably never been changed) and adding a cooler for the Chico summer. Get the parts from Joe.

Did you know you can acquire the service history from Infiniti?

I think personally think the 17/18 combo is the best, or all 17s...

18in tires are outrageously priced and with the itty bitty tires they are bound to be bent in no time... All it takes is one pothole...

IF you do get 18s, you have to spend a LOT of money or get OEM infiniti 18s... lots of crap of inferior quality... Most ones that are strong enough are heavy.....

Check out my Members Rides photo section for pictures of my old 1995 Q45 running on 17" G35 rims. They do look pretty good, although the best look, IMHO, was still the 20 "spoke" original wheel the car came with - only problem was its 15" diameter and 6.5" width size.

I personally would get the 2003/2004 Q45 or M45 wheels, in chrome or polished aluminum.

AZhitman's car has those 18" chrome wheels on it, and it looks sweet. My I30t has the 17" version.

I have 17's on my silver Q, and 18's on my black Q.

The problem with 18s is this..

In order to get adequate sidewall and load rating you need a 245-45-18, but they will rub on the 3rd link on a lowered Q (unless you have maybe 30mm offset), and 245-40 isnt enough...

I dont like how non lowered Q45s look, lowering them that 1.5in REALLY helps in my book....
