i think thats a good kit. any recomendations are welcome and add anything that i would need to complete that kit. my goal is not high hp but reliable power and transportation.

Well first there is nothing there for your fuel supply. So can't go over 7lbs or is it 8? Not to mention you'll need some electronics. Looks liek a rip off to me for what's there. You should be able to get everything you need for your project at that price.

That's Jordan Gladman's kit from ka-t.org that he was using on his winter beater for about 2 weeks. That's a quality kit and he's not making any money off it. You won't find a better kit for less.

serisouly, jsut ad an fmu for $100 and itw ill be safe to run 8psi.

i would definitly buy that kit at that price. i personally would get CA18DET 370's or some dsm injectors and tune with an safc.

i have ran an fmu for months at 9psi with no problems. i just perfer being able to tune

Yea it's a good kit but you can get more parts for your $$$. However everythign here will just be slap on and bolt and ready to go. Instead of piecing and measuring etc. So depending on your sources and capability of mechanics it's good. And all the parts are new if you bought everythign individual it would be a whole lot more by far.Depends on how soon you want to turbo.

Once you buy all the parts and pieces brand new your not going to beat 1500 bucks...If you think you can, post your findings to include shipping and fabrication costs.

Buy that kit, install the FMU and your golden.

For info on all of your above questions, I'd normally tell you to browse around NICO, but the search function doesn't work worth a crap since we switched servers.

Email me your questions, [email protected] I'll be more then happy to explain the basics of everything for you.

There is also an article section on NICO that has several good threads about turboing your vehicle as well. Let me find the links you'll need.

Here's one link, the long FAQ I wrote appears to be gone.... http://www.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=37527

so what is a FMU? and what does it do? and how would i hook up a EBC. would it wire up to existing wiring almost like wiring a cd player or is it way more complicated than that type of thing.

please search around

FMU= fuel management unit. this gets hooked up to the fuel line coming off of the fuel rail and to a vaccuum source. as it senses boost it increases fuel pressure in a ratio (4:1, 6:1, 8:1, 12:1, fuel psi : turbo psi) this literally forces more fuel out of the fuel injectors.

to hook up an ebc would be by itself. it has its own unit so the only thing you would need from the car is a power and ground

212k miles on my SOHC and running 7psi. Feels good to me, and alot more tuning still needs to be done. Unless you're going for big power (over 500), no reason not to use the SOHC as the platform.

well i bought the kit he let is go for 1200 yay me! so it will be here in like 2 day cause he only lives 5 hours away. i will just have it sitting in my room for now until i can afford to but a FMU and a few gauges to monitor boost and oil pressure. i also need and air filter that will bolt on to that t3 turbo cause that was not included in the 1200 dollar price. anyone know where to get one?
