after seeing my brother's C5 and looking into corvettes more, i totally agree with you. my brother had a convertible automatic (slowest you can get lol) and he ran a 13.2 stock. so a hard top manual with a good driver would be in the 12's stock. then you can go supercharger or nitrous or even Twin Turbo if you want. not only is the LS1 a good motor but the corvette itself handles excellent and would be a well rounded sports car.... but the OP wants a 350z (which are also amazing cars in my opinion).

and sorry to thread jack again but isn't the pressure valve for the Turbo? if so then, theres no issues with the CVT transmission right? its holding up strong?

You may be thinking of the wastegate for the turbo or a pressure sensor used for tuning. The transmission is taking quite a bit of a torque increase, I'm not at all familiar with the design specs of the CVT.

Yea, the CVT blew a pressure valve. Had to have it replaced. Tim and I are working on a new way to make this CVT turbo work though. Stay tuned
Blake, so I guess Turbo Tim and SFR are TRYING to find a resolution to cool down the transmission so you don't blow pressure vlave again? DO you still have your turbo installed and if so, did you manually turn down the boost so the your new transmission doesn't get overheated as before?

Hey Blake,

Hows the torque steer on the turbo setup? FWD turbo is fine until you start getting torque steer.

I would like to put a smaller turbo on...pick up maybe 100 hp total...something that I could keep the stock internals on without getting too complicated...maybe intercooler and HF fuel pump, but not have to mess with it much...boost 5 or 6psi...just enough to make it fun, and much, much quicker than stock...

8lbs isn't even too bad when it comes to the tq steer, but the stock clutch isn't the happiest camper with that much torque. Hopefully an aftermarket clutch will be available in the near future.

with 5 or 6 lbs of boost you will barely feel the difference in torque steer.

Tq steer isn't a problem. Its not crazy with 6 pounds. You can handle it.
